Torts Let Down

All semester in torts, I’ve been seeing references to MacPherson v. Buick Motor Co.  It’s supposed to be the root of all product liability cases.  Shephard’s has over 1,300 citations to it.  I think it may have come up in contracts even, in regards to foreseeability of damages, and maybe even civil procedure, although both of those thoughts may be less from reality and more from the haziness of boundaries between classes when the semester is almost over.  And, with only a single topic left in torts, we’ve gotten to products liability, but we’re going to skip over MacPherson.  After a semester of building up, we’re not going to read it!  And I’m not motivated to read it on my own.
